I firmly believe that education is the only key that will remain with you through all the peaks and troughs of life. It's an eminent part of ones being and creates a purpose to lead a meaningful and balanced life. The motto behind setting up 'Shakuntalam' is to impart education/vocational training to children residing in slums, daily wage laborers and rag pickers, so that they become self-reliant and self-sufficient in their life ahead. Education will be the
enabler of a better future not only for them but for their entire household which, in turn, will enhance the efficiency and productivity of our nation.
Apart from our mission to promote and provide qualitative education at affordable costs to children in socially and economically deprived communities, our areas of work include (but are not limited to) the following:
Help senior citizens lead active lives through various productive ageing and social support services.
Support Cancer patients and provide aid to Drug & alcoholic rehabilitation centers.
Committed to helping children and adults who are blind or visually impaired.
With the sole aim to restore human dignity and to set the foundation for nation building by making the downtrodden emerge as productive assets, we seek to put in our 100% efforts in making a small change to the society at large through our various initiatives and look forward to your support, guidance and blessings.
